We have been established for over 10 years as South Downs Antiques & Interiors, specializing in retailing Antiques and collectables. Over time, we noticed an increasing demand from our customers for household and commercial waste clearance services. In response, we re-branded ourselves in 2018 to South Downs Clearance.
As a licensed waste carrier, we provide environmentally-friendly clearance solutions, whether it's for a single item, a box of bric-a-brac, or a complete house, flat, container, shed, garage, loft, or shop.

What is a clearance ?
We perform full or part house clearances, efficiently removing everything requested, including carpets, cookers (using a qualified electrician or gas fitter), washing machines (using a qualified plumber), as well as all clutter and furniture. Our environmentally-friendly clearance services ensure responsible disposal of all items.
We also clear garages, sheds, lofts, office spaces, storage containers, and commercial buildings.
We can coordinate with your solicitor, neighbour, or estate agent, and handle key collection and return, so you don’t have to be at the property, especially if you have other commitments or live out of the area.
We hold Public Liability insurance up to £1,000,000 and are a licensed waste carrier regulated by the Environmental Agency (License number CBDU196087). Our commitment to professional waste disposal means we dispose of all waste at licensed waste sites. Additionally, we are a vetted Checkatrade member.
Do you offer any other service?
We can offer a post clean the property to enhance its rental chances or improve its selling appeal in the housing market.
We can offer a de-personalized and display service.
This is the removal of all personal items, such as photos, clothing, pictures and certificates etc. from display. Emptying all drawers, wardrobes, cupboards, lofts and garages etc. along with excess furniture.
Then using the remaining pieces of furniture and effects, to give that lived in feeling of a home and assist in the sale or rental of a property. We then return to clear the remaining items once the sale or rental has completed. .
